Today
Today my daughter Lola was at school and her teacher was trying to assist another child with her blanket for rest time. The teacher said, “Gimmee your blanket so I can cover you.”
Lola muttered something under the covers, to which the teacher asked…”What? Lola are you trying to say something?”
Lola poked her head out. “Yes. They’re coming to get you. The Gimmee monsters are coming to get you. You better becareful because the lights are off.”
The teacher smiled and said, “Whoops, guess I should have remembered my manners and asked politely.”
To which my daughter, with all her wise 4 years of life said, “It’s too late. They’re coming for you.”
